Fire departments looking for a traditional single rear axle quint can find everything with the Ferrara HD-77 heavy duty aerial. Maneuverability is key, as this truck is often asked to function as an engine. The HD-77 on a 54” medium cab has a compact, easy-to-steer 210” wheelbase. For extremely tight streets, try our 45” short cab and a 201” wheelbase!

The HD-77 excels in its aerial performance. The ladder attains 77’ maximum height at only a 72 degree angle of elevation, which translates into a much easier climbing angle than competitor aerials at 75 to 80 degrees. Also, the horizontal reach is an impressive 70’ at 0 degrees elevation. The HD-77 is a true heavy duty aerial, with a 500 pound tip load while the waterway is flowing rated capacity of 1500 GPM. This rating is valid whether the ladder is at 0 degrees or full elevation, monitor turned a full 90 degrees to the side.

Need a heavier tip load? Ask your local Ferrara representative about our optional 750 pound rating!

Ferrara custom fire chassis include the Ultra, Inferno, Igniter, Ember and Intruder 2. Each model has a variety of cab lengths and seating configurations. Ember and Intruder 2 engines go to 450 horsepower, Ultra is available up to 500 horsepower and the Inferno and Igniter top out at 600 horsepower.

Our most popular body style is the extruded aluminum EZ-Stack with left side full height x 24” full depth compartments, a right side full height, split depth compartment ahead of the rear wheels and a right side EZ-Stack hose bed. The EZ-Stack design efficiently deploys hose and allows reloading without raising the aerial. This spacious hose bed easily handles 1,000 feet of 5” LDH hose coupled in 100’ lengths.

Fire departments looking for a multi-purpose vehicle design will be impressed with the MVP HD-77. With its frame rail height speedlays, only 43” above the street, firefighters stay on the ground to deploy and reload preconnects. Added compartment space includes dedicated stokes and backboard storage. And like the Ferrara MVP heavy rescue pumper, the MVP aerial features a split-shaft driven pump ratable up to 2250 GPM.

The HD-77 is also available in traditional left/right high sides with rear hose chutes and a no pump/no tank design with 3 transverse compartments.
Body compartment doors are available in roll up or hinged style. An optional left rear side hose chute can be plumbed for a pre-connected portable deck gun or blitz line.

The full length torque box stores NFPA or ISO ladder complements, all in a single compartment.

The HD-77 is available with a 300 to 500 gallon tank on a single rear axle; up to a 750 tank with a tandem rear. Need more firefighting capability? Add a 200 CFM Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS).
