Ferrara Renews its Contract with
Talladega SuperSpeedway
HOLDEN, LA - Chris Ferrara, President and CEO of Ferrara Fire Apparatus,
Inc. in Holden, LA announced the renewal of the Ferrara contract as the Official
Fire Truck of Talladega Superspeedway. "We're very excited to continue our
relationship with the Talladega Superspeedway. When you are at Talladega, you
see racing at its most exciting" said Chris Ferrara. "The renewal of
the contract with Ferrara ensures that Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. will be the
official fire truck of Talladega Superspeedway until 2010."
The Talladega Facility covers approximately 2000 acres and hosts as many as 200,000 fans for events between seating and the 212 acre infield. The Superspeedway is a 2.66 mile tri-oval that banks 33 degrees in the turns and 18 degrees in the tri-oval. Talladega Superspeedway is said to be the biggest, fastest, most competitive motorsports facility in the world, offering some of the most exciting racing. Records for both speed and competition have been established at Talladega.
Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. will provide as many as five fire fighting vehicles for each major event at Talladega in order to protect the safety of drivers as well as fans. Major events include the Aaron's 499 on Sunday May 1, 2005 and the UAW Ford 500 on Sunday October 2, 2005 as well as many other events throughout the year.
