Holden, LA – The Indianapolis Fire Department has awarded Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc., America’s premier custom fire apparatus manufacturer, a contract to build five new Igniter custom pumpers and one HD-100 Rear Mount Platform, also on an Igniter chassis. When these trucks are delivered, Indianapolis will have twenty-two (22) Ferrara trucks in their fleet. IFD currently operates 42 stations, protecting a population of over 780,000.
