FERRARA DELIVERS BOMB SQUAD TO SAN FRANCISCO

Holden, LA - Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. continues to expand its already diverse Apparatus product line with the delivery of a Home Land Security funded Bomb Squad Unit for the San Francisco Police Department. This state of the art unit was built using Ferrara's Inferno XLTD Custom Cab with raised Command Roof. The body and second Command area will safely store and deploy the Bomb Robot and is the operational center for the Robot mounted camera and LCD screen. Other features include; Global Positioning, Sigtronics Intercom System, Safety Vision Back Up Camera, U-Shaped Command Desk in Cab, Whelen Super LED Emergency Lighting, Sentrol Vehicle Alarm System, Three External Robot Connections, Three Dell 23” LCD Screens, DVD Recorder, Refrigerator, 13,500BTU A/C-Heater for rear Command Area, Girrard Electronic Awning, Interior Cabinets have Dry Erase Doors, Onan 12KW Quiet Generator, and Fire Research 500 Watt Telescopic Tri-Pod lights. The rear portion of the cab is set up for communications with all State and Federal Agencies and will store the necessary equipment to operate in the field. The chassis utilizes a state of the art Independent Front Suspension which will allow it to traverse the city streets more safely due to increased suspension travel and larger disc brakes.
