Wildland Trucks

Ferrara Fire Apparatus wildland and brush trucks have been designed to meet the rigorous demands of off road applications, while meeting the individual needs of each fire department. Because each community's needs vary, these units are engineered with safety at the forefront. Ferrara builds a wide variety of 4x2, 4x4, 6x4 or 6x6 wildland trucks.

A long list of pump and plumbing options, including pump and roll, foam systems, ground sweep nozzles and bumper turrets allow you to design an apparatus to meet the needs of your department.

You can customize your department's vehicle with drip torch compartments, I-zone brackets, Fusee compartments, roll bars, brush guards and a wide variety of booster reel locations, just to name a few.

Wildland Features

20 Degree Angle Of Approach

Built to handle the steep terrain of the West Coast, the Igniter Urban Wildland Interface Chassis allows fire apparatus to maneuver uneven roads more safely and effectively.

20° angle of approach is based on the length of front bumper package.

Spacious Rear Compartments

Spacious rear compartments carry hose packs, hard suction, ladders, backboards, and firefighting gear.

Roll Out Tailboard

Roll out tailboard reduces the overall length of the truck and creates a safe, full width platform to reload hose.

Long Handled Tool Compartment

3. Long handled tool compartment carries the wildland tools you need. Pump service access is provided through the back wall.

Low Side Compartments

Wheel chock, engineer’s and drip torch compartments are located under the rear cab, saving valuable space on the apparatus body.
